Course Description

Using your own scripts as a basis for discussion and feedback, award-winning poet,
copywriter and humanist celebrant Stuart Delves will help you explore key aspects of
scriptwriting and show you how to keep them fresh and unique. You will benefit from
the individual attention that a personal tutorial affords. Such personalised focus is
rare within the professional field.

The course includes:
During this course, individuals will work 1-2-1 with a tutor to develop script writing
techniques – using their own scripts as a basis for discussion and feedback.  Key
aspects of scriptwriting will be explored through real-time exercises and homework
assignments.  These include the theme/angle, structure, writing for voice, humour and
emotion and the use of poetry and lyricism.

As well as being a trained and experienced humanist celebrant Stuart is an award-
winning poet, playwright and copywriter. He has been teaching creative writing within
business for the last 15 years and since 2017 he has been helping individuals and
teams within the Higher Education sector shape their narrative.  He is also an experienced 1-2-1 coach and tutor.
